Client Relations Specialist (Reception)

Raintree Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time Client Relations Specialist at either of our 2 locations in Fort Collins or Timnath, CO (opening December 2022). Applicants must enjoy working with people and diverse clients and be caring, friendly, and efficient. Must remain professional and courteous while handling multiple tasks with many interruptions. Some Saturday shifts are required.

Hospital Hours:

Monday -Friday: 7:30am – 6pm

Saturday: 7:30am – Noon

DUTIES include (but are not limited to): Answering multi-line phone system; heavy client & patient interaction; accurate recordkeeping & math skills; scheduling of appointments, procedures, & surgeries; cashiering, including balancing payment records at the end of shift; deposits; ability to quickly learn various medical terminology, aspects & protocol, as well as costs, of veterinary medical procedures, treatments, and surgeries; rooming patients; kenneling patients; using Avimark practice management software; retrieving phone messages; monitoring supplies; faxing & copying; maintaining cleanliness and appearance of client areas; and performing miscellaneous duties as needed.

Veterinary Technician / CVT

Raintree Animal Hospital is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician or Certified Veterinary Technician at our Timanth, CO (opening January 2023).  Must be a detail-oriented person who can make good decisions, respond quickly and calmly to crises, and always maintain high standards of patient care. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are a must. The ability to set a good example, promote a positive work environment and provide direction and motivation to co-workers are important aspects of the position.

Job Requirements/Skills:

  • CVT or minimum 1+ year of experience in a clinical setting
  • Administer injectable, topical, and oral medications
  • Perform common outpatient procedures (i.e. nail trims, ear cleanings, anal gland expression, etc.)
  • Safely and humanely restrain patients
  • Assist with humane euthanasia as requested
  • Evaluate for proper positioning and exposure of radiographs. Adhere to radiographic safety standards.
  • Operate and maintain autoclave
  • Thoroughly clean, prepare and sterilize surgical equipment
  • Administer IV fluids, cleaning, feeding, and walking patients as needed
  • Assure safety of patients during all aspects of anesthesia, induction, maintenance, monitoring, and post-operative recovery
  • Knowledge in preparing and examination of urine, blood, fecal and ear cytology
  • Obtain and record patient case histories using veterinary practice management software (Avimark)
  • Collect, prepare, and/or submit requested tests and perform laboratory procedures
  • Prepare animals, instruments, and equipment for surgery procedures
  • Provide patient dental care, ultrasonic cleaning, polishing, dental x-rays
  • Knowledge in diagnostic, medical, and surgical procedures
  • Stock and maintain medicines and supplies
  • Preparing invoices, discharging instructions, and client information packs
  • Client communication: update and provide follow up for hospital patients
  • Client education

Working Conditions

  • Work requires lifting and carrying animals weighing a maximum of 40lbs. Walk or stand for extended periods of time; frequently works in a bent position
  • May be exposed to unpleasant odors, noises, and animal feces
  • May be exposed to bites, scratches, contagious diseases, and animal wastes
  • Hazards associated with aggressive patients, infected animals, and controlled substances

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in a clinical setting as a Veterinary Nurse

Salary: $15-18/hr
